AFSCME-CCPT understands these tough economic times, so we are offering all day training for only $35 which includes Saturday night’s Banquet Dinner and a convention kit!
You can receive 8.5-12 hours of Registry approved training.

Child Care Workshop Details:
CPR with AED: There will be two CPR-AED classes held – one Friday, April 16, from 6:30-10:00 pm and one Saturday, April 17, from 7:00-10:30 am. Limit is 12 people per class. By the end of the class you will be certified for 2 years in infant, toddler, child, and adult CPR, and you will be trained on how to use a defibrillator. The cost for this class is an additional $27.50 plus $10.00 for the book, if you if chose to keep it. Wii Relax: Join us for a fun and relaxing experience. Learn how to use a Wii to relax, exercise, get healthy and reduce stress. Come practice and play with us.
Songs, Finger plays & Other Fun Activities to do with Young Children: Come join professional caregivers and learn all about all of the fun activities you can do with young children as an alternative to watching TV.
QRIS/YoungStar: What can child care providers do to prepare for the QRIS/YoungStar? What star level are you reaching for? What steps can you take to earn those stars? How will this system affect providers, parents and communities?
Paperwork Success, no more Stress: Do you need help organizing all of your paperwork? Join us for this session and learn how to easily organize your paperwork by using a simple kit-n-kaboodle.
WI Shares Subsidy Training: Join us for a frank discussion on current issues in the WI Shares Subsidy program. Bring your questions and concerns. Get the answers you are seeking.
Woodworking Not Just For Men: This workshop is designed to teach anyone how to use power tools in order to build anything for their home and yard. Come get ideas and be inspired to build shelves, lofts, toy cars, etc at a much lower cost than catalogue prices.
